Role Description

Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Victoria) Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Secondary Teacher, with specialisations/interests in the Humanities/English/Drama areas, to join the team at Henderson College in Mildura. This position would suit a versatile teacher with an interest in teaching across a range of year levels (7-10) and subject areas including Humanities, English, Drama, Inquiry and the Encounter program. This is a full-time teaching position that is open to graduates and commences Term 1, 2024.

The focus of the Classroom Teacher is on the planning, preparation and teaching of programs to achieve specific student outcomes. The Classroom Teacher will teach a range of students/classes and is accountable for the effective delivery of their programs. An integral aspect of the planning is to embed the characteristics and values of the Seventh-day Adventist school system in all aspects of learning and teaching. The Classroom Teacher utilizes critical reflection in order to improve knowledge and skills to better engage students and improve their learning.
